MP Gheorghe Becali has resigned from AUR

„You can remove my title as AUR MP because I am no longer a member. You can designate me as an independent deputy. I resigned from AUR today because, as I previously mentioned, I was considering supporting another candidate in the sovereignist movement, but not Ana Maria Gavrilă,” Becali explained.

He reiterated his support for George Simion, emphasizing, „I want everyone to understand that neither Hrebenciuc nor Ponta manipulates me. No organization, structure, or individual has the power to control Becali. I have no interests in that. What interests do I have? At my age, I must express what I believe with dignity,” Becali added.
